COVID-19 pandemic has engulfed people all over the world. The Corona virus  has disrupted the existence of human life. The misery caused by the virus began in early 2020 and continues till date with meek signs of fading away.
India has been under complete lock-down since March 2020. All kinds of economic and social activities were  stopped and people were restricted at home. The result of this lock down was the worst on migrant labour who had shifted to urban areas in NCR Delhi region for want of work and livelihood. However, when the lock-down shut their livelihood source, the incomes ceased and so they were left without money and job. Their families suffered since the available resources at home including food and money were exhausted. To aggravate it further, the rent of their dwellings surmounted and they could not go back to their native place because the inter-state bus transport had stopped.  With scores of migrant families stuck in Delhi – NCR including the industrial towns of Noida, Greater Noida and Dadri, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Gurugram the problems of migrants increased with exposure to Corona virus and scarcity of  food, medicines, protective masks and dry rations to name a few.
In our endeavor to ensure that no family remains hungry due to loss of livelihood and work, our Fight against COVID-19 began in mid-March 2020 and continues till date:

The women and children are very vulnerable to infection and Corona virus. Due to a greater susceptibility, they are experiencing  restricted  conditions of life that comprise physical, social and emotional disruptions besides the fear psychosis that has gripped the adults and young alike. The physical boundaries are drawn for children who are at home or on the streets. The women are bearing the twin burden of managing food and other essentials within the given economic constraints.  In the process, their own food intake and nutritional requirements are the last to be fulfilled in the present times of Covid-19.
We have studied the requirements of the migrant population in district Gautum Budh Nagar with the help of local administration and direct community intervention and have discovered that there is an urgent need for nourishment and protection  of  women and their  children. Therefore, we have distributed a total of 1100 Nutrition and Potection Kits (NPKs) to the children of migrant communities. Each Kit has food for nutrition and personal prevention equipment (PPE) for the child.

The cost of each Kit is 300 INR. We want to nourish and protect 500 women and children from migrant communities in NCR region.

The total fund required to nourish and protect 500 women and children is 150000 INR.
