India is a country of villages and it is said that its soul lives in its villages. To make the villages self-reliant, we must make the modern education resources available to the schools in Rural Areas.
To execute this mission, SmartGaon has launched Mentors program where it plans to connect passionate individuals (mentors), around the world, with schools in Rural India. These mentors will help to empower Rural Area Schools with 21st Century Skills so that students can be Creative, Innovative, Future-ready and Future-fit.
As part of this initiative , we will focus on following areas -
S : Social and Emotional Wellness Program for Students (Life Skills)
M : Mentoring & NEP 2020 based Workshops for Students
A : Academic Scholarships for Underprivileged Students
R : Resources Support for Educational Innovation
T : Transformation through 21st Century Skills Development (including Coding Skills)
To date, SmartGaon Mentors’ program has partnered with six (6) schools for this initiative. Our plan is to grow to Twelve (12) by the end of 2023. Tuition costs roughly Rs. 12,000 per student per academic year and we plan on giving scholarships to a total of 24 underprivileged students. We will host Social and Emotional Wellness programs in all schools under the guidance of a professional wellness coach. We will also sponsor art and science projects, computer programming lessons to enhance students’ motivation and learning.
We are setting a goal of raising a total of Rs. 5 Lakh by the end of 2022. Your generous donations are welcome and will help us improve the lives of children in rural areas.
