Please Help rebuild the Puppy Rescue Shelter and veterinary care centre We are being evicted before the lease ends because of the landlord changing their mind. The Puppy Rescue Shelter Home is an animal rescue and rehabilitation organization running solely on contributions by the founder Yla, her friends and family, and other volunteers.
Yla has been rescuing and looking after over 400 dogs and puppies in Delhi NCR since 2010 while working full-time. Yla has taken time off work to complete the construction and she has poured her own savings, time, and energy into it. Sadly the moment the shelter was built the landlords began to harass her by chasing away the shelter dogs' caregiver staff. The covert harassment has been continuing for many months.

Now we have 7 days to move the shelter. Currently, she runs the shelter in Baliyawas rescuing and feeding the Gwal Pahari areas. Since we started, we have spent 12 lac on the construction, and added rescue work of cattle and dogs in the villages nearby has cost us more than we can afford. We focus on puppies since larger shelters often have viral diseases that could be fatal for pups, and they do not have the infrastructure for delicate puppies' care.

Besides neonatal care and ICU care for parvo puppies, we feed stray dogs and cattle in the remote villages of Gwal Pahari and treat them for diseases, carry out sterilization and vaccination of the dogs, and work on adoptions as well. Over the years many rescued pups had nowhere to live after their treatment was completed at clinics. Many times no one wanted to adopt the pups as they weren't pedigreed.
Keeping them at boarding was extremely expensive and not possible for long. Leaving them in overcrowded shelters wasn't an option.
A dog shelter home was maintained by Yla in south Delhi to home the dogs for the last four years, till they had to vacate. So in March 2021, the farm shelter has been set up.
