The students learning today have a bright future as educators in the same field and earn their livelihood. The knowledge and proficiency attained by a student in these art forms will also make them employment ready either directly or have an alternate source of income throughout their life. This increases the student's confidence and makes them professional through the disciplined approach required by these art forms.
Objective & Mission:
Not all children have the same potential and are highly dedicated to their studies; however, they would still need the skills that will enable them to earn their livelihood by holding their heads high in society. The objective of Aravindam India is to empower these underprivileged children living in the slums. The skills taught by this NGO will provide them life-long opportunities to continue earning their livelihood if they are proficient and confident enough. These skills are taught on weekends to ensure that the students do not get distracted from their formal education but can still gain knowledge to practice and enhance their skills.
Our mission is to help NGOs arrange nutritious mid-day meals for 200 children undergoing skills development educational programs in Indian heritage art forms. The students would need nutritional food to give them the energy to practice and master these art forms. However, no skills can be obtained on an empty stomach, and rigorous practice requires good nutrition.
Funds Requirement
With the mission to eradicate the curse of hunger among children, OneStepForward is raising funds for Aravindam India Gurukul students to ensure that students of the foundation get adequate nutrition during their practice sessions. To accomplish our mission, we would need your support in helping us raise funds catering for the dietary requirements of the students. The details of the requirements are as mentioned below.
1. No. of Students in Aravindam India Gurukul: 200
2. One meal for each student once a week for 52 weeks

4. Cost of per cooked meal = Rs. 20/-
