Hello everyone,
My name is Sayantan, and I'm reaching out to you in a time of urgent need. We are residents of Asansol, West Bengal and had travelled to Chennai for medical treatment for my father. My father, Syamal Kumar Chakraborty, is battling COPD and a severe heart condition, and we've been seeking medical assistance in Chennai since January 23rd.
Initially, we hoped for a brief hospital stay of 6-7 days, but unforeseen complications arose. Despite the dedicated care of the medical team at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, my father's condition took a turn for the worse due to infections. He has been on and off mechanical ventilation, struggling to fight these infections.
After exhausting all our savings, we find ourselves unable to afford the ventilation and continued ICU treatment. My father is still on a ventilator, and a Tracheostomy suggested, we're turning to you, our community, for support.
