She has been hospitalised for 2 months after a stroke and underwent decopmressive craniectomy. She developed stage 4 pressure sores during hospitalization and is currently undergoing cosmetic surgery. She is expected to stay in the hospital for one more month. She is still in a vegetative state and recovery will be slow and long.

Due to lack of health insurance cover, the medical expenses for treatment and nursing care have risen and out-of-pocket spending has exhausted the savings.
