Despite being 8 years old, Suraj still can't walk without any support. He can't even perform some of the basic day to day tasks without someone's help, as he falls after every 2 steps. He doesn't go to school and can't play like other children of his age.
Suraj is suffering from a rare congenital condition called Spina Bifida, which affects Spinal Cord and Brain development of a new born. Treatment for this condition includes multiple Spinal surgeries and continuous Physiotherapy support.
Suraj has already undergone two surgeries in 2012 to remove tumor and to install a cord and a device in his brain, however, he is still unable to walk properly and needs physical support in some very basic tasks as well.
My name is Anurag and I am trying to raise funds for Suraj and his family to support his ongoing treatment and their financial necessities. I've known Suraj and his family for 2 years.
Currently Suraj is undergoing Medication and Physiotherapy sessions in Bangalore. His parents have contacted multiple hospitals but because of lack of funds, they are not yet able to get him admitted. Until now, they have spent around Rs. 8,00,000, since 2012.
They've arranged all of this amount from their savings and considering the monthly expenses they're incurring, it's very hard for them to make ends meet for daily expenses as well.
