Help an IITian who is saving Hundreds of Disabled people to overcome the deadly winter of North Bengal.
Could we make this year’s 25th December a highly memorable day of our life by spreading warm love & making them smile! Amidst the first and second wave of this pandemic, Step Up Foundation for All (SUFAL) (registered organization) have been trying their best to contribute towards the welfare of needy Specially abled persons in two underdeveloped tribes and Rajbanshi community-oriented districts namely Cooch Behar and Alipurduar of West Bengal. We are a group of IIT/JU/NBU graduates who are working in the mentioned organization in all sorts of COVID relief support segments (Ration, medical, awareness & education). In the last 18 months, we have managed to deliver over 500+ free ration packets, 10+ oxygens cylinders, door to door awareness campaign with the distribution of free masks, sanitizer & soap over 1000+ specially-abled poor families, medicine, and water bottles to COVID patients and flood-affected peoples at their doorsteps throughout these two districts especially in remote areas. Currently, we are in touch with 5000+ needy specially-abled person’s families in remote areas to solve their problems in this critical situation.
Basically, a large number of people who live under the poverty line get tired due to fighting with their very hard practical life and financial condition. In the north region of West Bengal, the percentage of poverty-stricken people living below the poverty line is very high. Most of them are from families of poor disabled children, women, and the aged. They cannot afford to buy winter clothes to keep them warm.
Fund Raising
Now, we have started an initiative “Mission of spreading Warm Love” to distribute 5000 new winter clothes/Blankets for those special children, women & men to make them smile as well as to gift them a priceless warm love during this winter session (already started) by utilizing the funds from the well-wishers of our society and our own savings so far. Owing to the growing crisis, as more and more people have reached out to us for help, we have decided to continue serving the needful and would need your help in taking this further. Please contribute to this fundraiser, as any amount towards this cause will go a long way in helping to overcome the situation of poor disabled people of North Bengal. Also, kindly help us in spreading the word by sharing it with your families, friends, and on social media.
