This fund is being raised as a token of support for the family of Dhiman Basu Biswas, our IIT Kanpur batch mate of 1983. ( B.Tech-Mech, football team captain).

Dhiman left for a heavenly abode at an age of 58 years due to heart failure. His health had deteriorated earlier and for five years he had not been working prior to his demise. For many years he used to teach in a coaching institute preparing students for West Bengal Civil Services.

His wife and two daughters have a full life ahead. His elder daughter is married and the younger is with the mother. Though there are no debts, the family does not have any strong source of income.  

As his batchmates and friends, we believe support for a rainy day is the least we can do for his memory and would stand in good stead for the family. Please contribute generously to this worthy cause.
