India is facing an unprecedented crisis and the situation will go further downhill from here if we don't act today. The current oxygen crisis and lack of ambulance services are impacting not just Covid patients but also people suffering from cancer and other life-threatening ailments.
Requests to commute patients and donors are on the rise. Our non-profit Sondhi is already renting private cars at our own expense for commuting patients/donors and circulating oxygen cylinders in the suburbs of West Bengal, India. But all the services and supply is not sufficient and we need more cylinders and dedicated ambulance with the provision of medical support to take patients to hospitals.
Please find below the list of services we need financial support for immediately:
1. Provide oxygen free-of-cost to needy patients (Rs 3lakh for Oxygen cylinders)
2. 24×7 ambulance service to needy patients (Rs 6.8lakh for Ambulance)
3. Organize safe, socially distanced blood donation drives to mitigate blood crises. (Rs 10k for organizing multiple drives)
4. Spread awareness about Covid prevention by public announcements (Rs 5k)
5. Community Sanitization for 100 families (Rs 5k)1. Provide oxygen free-of-cost to needy patients (Rs 3lakh for Oxygen cylinders)
2. 24×7 ambulance service to needy patients (Rs 6.8lakh for Ambulance)
3. Organize safe, socially distanced blood donation drives to mitigate blood crises. (Rs 10k for organizing multiple drives)
4. Spread awareness about Covid prevention by public announcements (Rs 5k)
7. Providing food to starving families in front of hospitals stranded due to limited availability of services.

Canning Sondhi is a non-profit organization that has been working relentlessly for the last few years in a variety of socio-economic sectors for the development and welfare of society and the people living in it. We started as an organization to resolve the basic educational needs of children in some of the underdeveloped and poor areas of West Bengal that includes some of the rural most parts of Sundarban, Canning, etc.

Some of our initiatives include activities like distributing groceries to over 55000 families, tarps to 45000 families, run 14 community kitchens over 107 days serving over 7lakh meals in total, etc.
