    This fundraiser will benefit

    Sujata Malik

    from Gandhinagar, Gujarat

Dear Friends,

Calling for the last round of support - campaign ends on 15th Nov. 2021. Mrs. Sujata Mallik is close to reaching financial autonomy.

Here is the update:

1) The money raised by Aruna's students over milaap has been used to buy out the Gandhinagar flat and the flat is finally in her name. That's a relief!

2) The NPS payment should come through by next month. 80 percent of the corpus would be in an annuity in the name of the spouse, and this should a pension for the family.

3) She has completed a month in the CDSL job, currently on probation with a starting salary. The salary is insufficient by itself but clubbed with the annuity it should be sufficient. The working environment is congenial. The GNLU job is still taking time, let us see what happens.

4) She has requested us to raise 20k for this month and is hopeful that this is the last month of support as next month onwards the salary and NPS annuity should take care of monthly expenses.

Of the 55k listed as the goal here, 34K has been raised earlier and transferred to Sujata on the 28th of September. I have increased the target by 21K (to account for mandatory milaap commission) and now the goal is 55k. Let us quickly reach this goal so that the same may be transferred to Sujata within a week.

Wishing strength and fortitude to Sujata and the kids.

Dear Friends,
We lost our beloved friend Aruna on the 28th of April 2021.
He was teaching at the Gujarat National Law University. His untimely demise has left us shocked and with a void that can never be filled. Aruna touched lives and had a special loving relation with so many of us. Many of us knew him from our stay with him at the University of Hyderabad from where he earned his MA, M.Phil and PhD degree.

What has passed, has passed. We seek to support Aruna's family - his wife, Sujata and two little children. Sujata has returned to Gandhinagar after completing the final rituals at their home town in Balasore, Odisha.

The difficult part now begins for the family. Now they are at Gandhinagar, fixed expenses come into play. We aim to raise a monthly corpus of at least 40,000 INR per month for the next six months. We hope that Sujata is able to find a job within these six months and settle down to financial autonomy by then.
