This is my cousin Shubhankar Maity. He has been suffering from "post appendiceal perforation and loop ileostomy".

In layman's terms, his intestinal ducts are way too narrow for any excretion to happen.

He has been operated on thrice already.
Once to take the pipe out of his body and being attached to a bag in which all the excreta is accumulated. The bag is changed regularly once it got full.
The second operation was done to reverse it and put the ducts back into his body, but that was unsuccessful as he was still suffering from acute pain all over his abdomen.
And finally, again, to restore the initial bag-pipe system outside the body.

The doctor has now said that the only hope of him ever having a functioning excretory system is if he's taken to Vellore and operated on, the cost of which is around 3 lakhs of rupees at least, if not more.

Considering he has been operated on thrice already (reports, prescriptions and necessary documents attached as proof of claim), the family is no longer able to bear the high expenses of his treatment.
