15 years old Subhajit Modak is suffering from a rare type of blood cancer - Ph+ Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (Ph+ALL). He had been suffering with high fever during his Secondary Examination (Feb'19) and has completed his first board exam with this health condition. Though at that moment none of his family members was expecting such a heart-broken outcome of that 3 weeks long fever. He'd been admitted in an emergency at Tata Medical Centre, Kolkata where he received the initial recovery treatments. Now his first chemotherapy protocol is in-progress and Subhajit, being our little fighter, performing well in his post board exam ground. From April 2nd week, more intensive chemotherapy, with imatinib, would be started to deal with Ph+ALL.
Subhajit along with family need to stay in Kolkata for next 5 months to complete the first 6 months' intensive chemotherapy cycles. After that , with the blessings of God, he could travel back to his home town and join his school and start his study for Higher-Secondary along with his Oral chemotherapy, continual monitoring and regular doctor's supervision for next 2 years which would complete the full course of this treatment.
The overall Cost estimation for this treatment provided from the Hospital authority is around 10 Lakhs, out of which the majority or most of the amount would be required within the first 6 months' intensive chemotherapy cycles. This expenses would be at least Rs 10 to 12 lacs i.e. excluding any exigencies/ emergencies whatsoever. Subhajit needs all of our help and blessing on this.
Subhajit is fighting hard with his ever smiling face to start this study at the earliest, join school, his friends and back to his normal life with happiness at it's fullest. Please let's try to help him out financially and with our prayers.
