We are two fellows, Mahikaa and Anjali, working with 60 enthusiastic students currently studying in grade 4 at Vinay High School (English Primary). It's a privately owned school situated in the center of Vashi Naka, Chembur.

Our children come from marginalized and under-resourced communities resulting in their families (income ranging from Rs.10,000 to Rs.15,000 per month) being unable to meet basic educational requirements. Two years of Covid - 19 pandemic has done a lot of damage to learning; as the students tried to find a balance between online and offline classes while struggling to have a device with a stable internet connection. Though, with the help of Teach For India and other NGOs, we have been able to provide devices to some of our children.


They are very curious and as we work hard to bridge this learning gap, we require funds to provide them with appropriate resources like academic books and notebooks, basic stationary supplies like pens, pencils, charts, crayons, etc, and to plan extra co-curricular activities like exposure visits, sports classes.

All your and our efforts together will ensure that our children and families have access to quality education and livelihood even under these pressing circumstances.

What all do we need?

1. Academic Books - Rs. 80,000 (Rs. 1500 per student)
2. Maintence and rent of community center - Rs. 60000 (Rs. 5000 per month) 
3. Classroom Supplies like stationary, printing worksheets, folders, etc. - Rs. 25,000 (Rs. 500 per student)
4. Classroom Maintenance like charts, projector, etc - Rs. 25,000 
5. Medical Supplies - Rs. 10,000
