Stray animals living on the streets of India are subjected to great misery on a daily basis. They constantly experience hunger, disease, accidents, cruelty, etc. and many of them live with severe disabilities.

We're a group of volunteers in Kolkata who pour our heart and soul into giving care to stray animals in our city. Our group is known as Thankful Animals.

For the last few years, we've been dedicated to helping the dogs and cats living on our streets. It began with feeding and taking care of locality dogs, then food drives, and soon expanded to rescues, adoptions, treatment of injuries, vaccination and sterilization.

Currently, we're building an animal shelter in south Kolkata for the following purposes:

1) Rescue & Adoption of Dogs/Cats
2) Arranging Treatment for Strays
3) Vaccination & Neutering of Strays
4) Fostering Abandoned Pets

Construction work has already begun. We urgently need funds to complete building the shelter, and to equip it with all the facilities required to help stray animals.
