Sria Jagulia, a 39-year-old woman and a beloved daughter, sister, and friend from Sonarpur, West Bengal, is in a critical condition at the Indian Institute of Liver and Digestive Sciences (IILDS).

She was admitted with severe complications, including:

• Acute-on-Chronic Liver Failure (ACLF)

• Kidney failure (on dialysis)

• Brain dysfunction (Hepatic/Wernicke’s Encephalopathy)

• Septic shock (now resolved)

• Leptospira infection

Sria has a medical history of hypothyroidism and previous gallbladder and lung issues. This time, her body couldn't fight alone. She became unconscious, was put on a ventilator, and had to undergo emergency dialysis. Despite all odds, she has shown small signs of improvement—but her battle is far from over.

Her family has exhausted their resources while ensuring she gets the best care. The cost of intensive care, multiple dialysis sessions, advanced investigations, and medications has been overwhelming.
