Over the past few months, our family has been on an incredibly difficult and emotional journey. My brother, Shubh, suffered a devastating road accident in Germany that left him with a severe brain injury and a stroke. He underwent multiple life-saving surgeries, spent long weeks in the ICU, and endured intense rehabilitation.
Through it all, Shubh has shown extraordinary strength and resilience. He is now more alert, his left hand is gradually regaining flexibility, and he has started lifting his neck again. Most recently, he has begun eating through a liquid diet—which he’s truly enjoying. These small but powerful milestones give us hope every single day.
Thanks to your incredible support and prayers, we were able to bring Shubh back home to India—a huge step forward for both his medical recovery and emotional well-being. While we had originally set a goal of ₹30 lakh to cover his air ambulance transfer and medical needs, we were able to raise around ₹10 lakh. With help from generous friends, family, and personal funds, we managed to bring him home safely.
However, the journey is far from over.
Shubh now requires rehabilitation, therapy, medications, and long-term care. He currently does not have any medical insurance coverage in India, which adds significantly to the financial burden. To support his continued recovery and help him regain as much independence as possible.
We are truly grateful for all the support we’ve received so far. If you’re able, please consider contributing toward Shubh’s healing. And if you can’t donate at the moment, sharing this message would mean the world to us.
Your kindness brought Shubh home. Let’s now help him heal and thrive.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Joshi Family
