Hello All !!

We the students at Indus International School Grade 4 are looking to fundraise to distribute 2000 COVID Defense Kits to local hospitals in Karnataka that have no access to any form of PPE gear. Each kit costs Rs 850. It includes high grade imported PPE coveralls, a 3ply mask, gloves, and shoe covers (pictured at the bottom)

 

WHY SHOULD I DONATE ?

The world is no longer how we once knew it. We are living in uncertain times. Wellbeing and everyday lives are changing at lightspeed. The panic and destruction caused by Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the last few months have been like nothing we have seen before. It has made human history in terms of its speed and scale of deaths. Countries like the US and UK who have well funded and sophisticated health care facilities are finding themselves grappling to contain this deadly virus. This has raised a spectre of a horrifying future for the rest of the world, especially Africa and Asian countries including India, who lack even basic healthcare services for most of their populations.

Our healthcare workers are the true heroes. They are willing to put themselves on the frontline every day with zero remorse. Unfortunately, we are sending them into the battlefield unarmed. The risk of contagion is very high in hospitals, yet there are no PPE gears available and almost all these healthcare workers are left vulnerable and defenceless. Most hospitals don't have funds to secure these privately and though the government is working overtime to manage this crisis, the sheer numbers are overwhelming and many hospitals are left vulnerable during this time. 

Just recently a pregnant woman was tested positive with COVID at the Vani Vilas hospital in Banglore and now  panic is rushing through those hospital doors. We all need to come together and prevent this.

HOW WILL MY DONATION HELP?

• PPEs defend healthcare workers against the virus, while saving infected patients.
• This essential gear is a basic requirement and can help our healthcare heroes sustain the fight against COVID-19 more effectively.
• Your donation will be used to obtain PPEs and distributed to local hospitals. Less than 20% of the hospitals have the required PPE kits

Together, as we help them, we will secure our future too.

This is a 100% not-for-profit campaign and we will provide utmost transparency from the disbursement of funds to the procurement of these items.
