    This fundraiser will benefit

    Shalini Agarwal

    from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh

Amongst the massive devastation by the second wave of COVID19 (Coronavirus), my family was among the many who were severely impacted. My mother, Shalini Agarwal (52-years-old), was infected with Covid around 29th April. Her condition deteriorated quickly and she had to be immediately hospitalised on 02nd May. After initial treatment at a local hospital, she was moved to Covid ICU at Medanta Lucknow on 05th May.

Her initial HRCT scans reported severe post-covid lung fibrosis with a CT score of 25/25. She has since been undergoing intensive covid and post-covid treatment with over 110 days under ICU care.

She was being treated under the Pulmonary ICU team at Medanta Lucknow (05th May - 21st June) and the Critical Care Medicine team at SGPGI Lucknow (22nd June - 02nd August). She has been on ventilator support for over 2 months now along with several other medical complications that arise as part of a prolonged ICU stay.

After initial challenges with weaning her off ventilator support, she was air-lifted to KIMS Hospital, Hyderabad for further treatment and prospective lung transplant under Dr. Sandeep Attawar’s team. After 2 days of her move, she suffered a brain seizure that completely immobilised her limbs. Currently, she is undergoing neurological as well as lung treatment & rehabilitation. Her treating doctors are hopeful that she can strive through and come off ventilator support in the near future.

Over the course of her prolonged treatment, we are close to the exhaustion of our funds and seek your generous support in ensuring her unhindered treatment for the foreseeable future. We would be deeply obliged if you could help us raise the estimated funds and spread the word to reach a larger audience.
