Mrs. Shehnaz is a mother to a seven year old kid living in the backward lanes of Paharganj. She has been facing multiple challenges in the years gone by having to leave her career and being forced into marriage. Her husband has been highly unsupportive of her work and in an recent act she lost all resources required for continuing stitching as a career.
श्रीमती शबाना पहाड़गंज की पिछली गलियों में रहने वाले सात साल के बच्चे की माँ हैं। अपने करियर को छोड़ने और शादी के लिए मजबूर होने के कारण उसे कई चुनौतियों का सामना करना पड़ा है। उनके पति उनके काम के प्रति अत्यधिक असमर्थ रहे हैं और हाल ही में एक अधिनियम में उन्होंने करियर के रूप में सिलाई जारी रखने के लिए आवश्यक सभी संसाधनों को खो दिया।
She is a part of Project Chahat, an initiative under the flagship of Teach for India where we understand that there is an absence of SEL and Life Skills development opportunities for the parents of children belonging to the underprivileged communities leading to lack of core values such as empathy, compassion and resilience.
We are hence, working towards building life skills through emphasis on SEL to create a collective community that operates with a systemic lens.
