Distribution of Study Kits to Cyclone Amphan & Lockdown affected Students of Sunderban, West Bengal.

I am working for the welfare of the Cyclone Amphan & Lockdown affected marginalized people of Sunderban, West Bengal for the last 1 month.

Previously I have successfully completed 3 Relief Camps :
1. Rupamari Village, Hingalganj (31/05/20) - 100 families
2. Chandipur & ManmathaNagar,Gosaba (07/06/20) - 500 families
3. Malekan Ghumti, Hingalganj (13/06/20) - 120 families
I provided dry foods, essential commodities & healthcare products.
I am now looking forward to help the affected students of Sunderban with their education.
It has been 3 months since schools are closed due to COVID19 and they have lost everything to Cyclone Amphan, so buying essential study materials like notebooks, pens, pencils, geometry boxes among others will be a luxury for them now.
But Education is also important and it must not be compromised.
So I am planning to provide the students with some study materials to motivate them to start their education once again.

I have received a survey report that about 4000 students from 3 villages of Patharpratima Block, 2 villages from Gosaba Block of South 24 Parganas, and 3 villages of Hingalganj Block of North 24 Parganas of West Bengal together need some study materials for their educational purposes.

Hingalganj (3 villages) - 1000 students *
Patharpratima (3 villages) - 2500 students *
Gosaba (2 villages) - 500 students *

*These are the approximate number of students, the final number of students may vary.

Depending upon the amount of fund to be raised I am planning to give them the following study materials per student:

1. 4 Notebooks
2. 2 Pens
3. 2 Pencils
4. 1 Eraser,1 Sharpener,1 Scale
5. 1 Pencil Box
6. 1 Geometry Box
7. 1 Crayons Box
8. 1 Drawing Copy

Along with these materials I also have a plan to add some dry foods & hygienic products like 1 packet of Biscuit, 1 hand soap, 1 packet santitary napkins(for girls) etc. if budget permits.

I am estimating that the minimum cost per study kit will be Rs.150.
That means for 4000 students our total budget will be approx Rs 6,00,000. (Excluding logistics charge)
