My father, Prof. Satish Chand Gupta, a retired Professor of a govt college, a loving husband and father to 3 kids, is currently surviving on the life support system and is under treatment for Stage – 4 Brain & Chest Cancer in Max Specialty Hospital, Patparganj, Delhi.

In the last week of Dec 19, my Papa had severe headaches, which was initially misdiagnosed as brain infection and was under treatment at Apollo Lucknow for about a month and hasn’t gained full consciousness since then. However, after few tests and within 3 week Doctors diagnosed fourth stage Brain and Chest cancer, turning our world upside down.
My younger brother, aged 17 years, is differently challenged and has been totally dependent on Papa for his daily chores. While life was already tough since the start, we are worried about his desolation on losing his favorite companion and support he had in our Dad.
There is a ray of hope as he has been admitted at Max Speciality Hospital, Parpadganj (Delhi) and Doctors have indicated that there has been a slight improvement. We are hopeful and praying for his recovery. Proper medication attention and facilities shall lead the way for us to get our ever cheerful papa back.
Unfortunately, we are running out of money fast and risk running out of resources to keep him under treatment if we do not receive help in time. Our Per day expense here is Rs 1,22,000 per day and will go higher in the coming days, we need your help.
