My name is Sathish Kumar Janarthanan, physically challenged residing with my aged mom and wife. Last Friday(Oct 4th, 2024) while walking I just slipped down from the steps and in order to safe guard myself I supported my physically challenged (polio attack) leg on the floor which resulted in bad knee fracture.

I was taken to the nearest hospital where it was recommended for immediate surgery. Considering the financial challenges I went ahead for low cost medical services so called “Puthur Kattu” - which is a traditional way of bone fracture services. However, as I hit my polio attacked leg I was not recommended for this traditional service by the doctors of “Puthur Kattu” and I was recommended for surgery only as my knee bones were ruptured.

I was taken to SIMS hospital at Vadapalani and after 1st aid and other test like CT, X-Ray, it was concluded for surgery which will cost 500000 INR

I’m in a position to take care of my family after my fathers demise and with no legs now life is becoming a challenge. While my family is trying to do their best to provide proper medical facilities this expense is beyond what can be managed by a small group of people.

In order to take care of my own daily activities and to support my family I would need to regain my legs. All your supporting hands is going to help me, my mother and my wife survive in peace.
