Hi this is Sanghamitra Sarkar. I am 31 years old.
On 30th November 2023, I was admitted to R N Tagore Hospital, Mukundupur, Kolkata with a breathing problem and swollen feet. After being admitted for eleven days, I was diagnosed with kidney failure again, (Chronic Kidney Disease stage 5) and went through dialysis on 9th December,2023. From that day onwards I am relying on dialysis to be alive. The expenditure of dialysis is rs.30,000/- per month including dialysis, medicines, doctor's visits, tests, blood infusion and injections (which are impossible for my family and me to provide).
My disease is not curable and I have to go through dialysis thrice a week until I am having a kidney transplant.
My father died of cancer after suffering for more than six years in 2016. On this note, my mother and I had lost most of our savings and assets.
I used to be a teacher but I had to resign because of this health issue.
My mother is a housewife and I was the only earning member for my mother. But now we have nothing to spend anymore for my treatment. We are living from hand to mouth.
I was admitted to R N Tagore, Hospital and Kolkata Kidney Institute more than thrice now this year. I don't know how many times more it will be. My doctor has suggested I have a kidney transplant. However, the expenditure on kidney transplants is around 15 lakhs. So we are unable to proceed towards the transplant because of our poor financial condition.

If I get any help from you, I'll be able to continue with my treatment, live a normal life and support my mother. Please help me.
