Lakshadweep - The land that valiantly fought Covid and supposedly won !! Not a single case of covid-19 was reported on its beautiful shores so far. But as many of the island's inhabitants will tell you, they may have won a battle but the war is far from over.
Covid has indirectly impacted thousands of families here and many of them are losing a different and unexpected battle - A battle against loss of income, against lost opportunities and most importantly - a battle to revive the shattered dreams of high school children who should have been in colleges in the mainland.

While students the world over have moved over to online classes, Lakshadweep, with its very poor internet connectivity and communication infrastructure, couldn't adapt to this new normal.
Parents here now need to send their children away to the mainland (Kerala or Mangalore) and make some arrangements for their stay outside of the usually cheap government hostels. Many of the families can't afford this and so more and more college students are staying behind in the island mourning  their lost opportunities and shattered dreams.
Fund Utilization
This is an attempt to raise funds for 25 of the most deserving college going kids  Per Student the cost is 10000 over all require 250000 for 25 kids to help them wade through these difficult times.
Your donations will surely make a difference to these children’s life. Please support this cause and extend a helping hands to them.
