Vaccination and related medical services such as tests, medicines and checkups are basic necessities to which a significant amount of children in India lack access. Moreover, many of the most common causes of child mortality in India are preventable through the administration of an appropriate vaccination regime. The outbreak of COVID-19 in India has not just illustrated the incapacity of the healthcare system to provide protection and aid to this vulnerable group in our population but has further weakened the system by straining its resources.

This fundraiser aims to lessen the resulting gap between access to medical services with an emphasis on increasing knowledge about vaccines for children at the margins of our society. The funds will be donated to a moholla clinic called Hamari Pehachan to finance checkups and pay for the tests of identified communities in the Delhi-NCR region.

This fundraiser is a part of VacciNATION, a public health initiative that seeks to make vaccines more accessible to all children in India, regardless of their background.
