Rumaisha Qureshi is a 12 year old girl studying in F.D. Primary English School, Jamalpur, Ahmedabad. On the evening on 8th August, Rumaisha unfortunately broke her right humerus in a freak accident while playing. She was rushed to Shifa Hospital, where Dr. K.R. Shah examined her, and proposed to surgically re-align her humerus, by placing metal rods in her arm, in a surgery scheduled on 9th August at 12 noon. The hospital bills have so far amounted to Rs.4,790. The quoted cost of the entire procedure is Rs.25,000. Rumaisha's father, Asif Mohammed, despite working very hard, earns only Rs.8000 a month, and is unable to meet her medical costs. She has a long, 6 to 8 months, recovery road ahead of her.
