Rotary Club of Rohtak (R.I. District 3011, Charter No. HR-15295) came into existence on 30th June 1960. Since its inception, the club is involved in service to humanity through various projects like Blood donation, physiotherapy centers, electric crematorium, skill development centers, adoption of schools for poor children, etc. We are a non-political, non-religious organization devoted to the Rotary motto of ‘Service above Self’.
Rotary Club of Rohtak is raising funds to establish a Rotary Blood Bank (RBB) in Rohtak, Haryana. The blood bank aims to meet precious blood requirements by organizing voluntary blood donation camps at educational institutions, corporate offices, public gatherings, etc. The blood collected will be processed in the Rotary blood bank equipped with state-of-the-art technology. RBB does not ask for replacement donors for providing blood to those in need. RBB will have a dedicated team of qualified and trained professionals to follow stringent screening procedures, careful documentation, and good laboratory practices for collecting, processing, and testing blood.
Rotary Blood Bank Rohtak will run by Rotary Blood Bank Charitable Trust Rohtak, with 15 members on board, duly registered having Registration No. 3505 with the Sub Registrar Office at Rohtak.
A license is required to run a Blood Bank in India. The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) under Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India is the National Regulatory Authority (NRA) of India. CDSCO along with state. Rotary Blood Bank Rohtak will procure all such permissions from the appropriate authorities.
Rotary Blood Bank Rohtak has procured the necessary Equipments from M/s Magnum Opus Life Sciences LLP & some are pending due to shortage of funds in Covid times.
Rotary Blood Bank Rohtak will be a well equipped with high end systems to collect and process blood for preparation of components, blood testing facilities, latest gadgetry and a cold room for good storage capacity for blood and blood products and for aphaeresis procedures to match the requirements of a tertiary level referral hospital. Besides providing safe and tested whole blood for transfusion to patients, the following components will also be made available with the help of a Cell Separator: Whole Blood, Cryoprecipitate, Frozen Plasma (FFP), Platelet concentrate (RDP), Packed Red Blood cells (PRBC) and Platelets (Single Donor Platelets via cell separator).
Rotary Blood Bank Rohtak will run blood transfusion center for Thalassemic children wherein no blood component charges will applicable to the adopted patients. Patient suffering from cancer and dengue require round the clock platelets and through Apheresis machine will give single donor platelets to the patients.
Rotary Blood Bank Rohtak will have all facilities to provide convalescent plasma with Covid-19 that helps save lives. India and its health care system are suffering, and we request you to join hands and fight together.
