I, Jasmine Sarah Hota, the daughter of Rev. Purna Chandra Hota, am writing this to inform you about what my father has gone through in the past few days.
On 15th June, 2023 Papa was lying down on the bed when we noticed that he was bleeding from the mouth. We rushed him to the Emergency ward AIIMS Bhubaneswar but he was just laid on the stretcher for almost 6-7 hours with little to no medical attention. 

The attending Doctor said that Papa needs immediate admission in the ICU but the ICU in AIIMS will be available only after 48 hours. By this time Papa had lost consciousness and we asked them to discharge him immediately. From there we took him to KIMS (Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences), which is a private hospital, and the treatment started within minutes of arrival. The same night, the fluid that had built up in his abdomen was extracted, blood transfusion was done and plasma was given. As of now, Papa is on the ventilator and is being sedated with fentanyl.

All we need right now are your prayers and financial support. My Papa is a fighter and I'm so proud to have him as my father, my Papa. I believe he will recover soon by the grace of God. Please keep praying.
