RAZA Educational and Social Welfare Society is a non-governmental organization that works to eradicate child labor and reduce the number of out-of-school children from the slums of Bengaluru. We serve students in need as well as enable youth and women from vulnerable communities by providing them with vocational training.
The advent of COVID-19 multiplied adversities for marginalized communities who are either living below the poverty line or are daily wage laborers. Post the lockdown, these people have found themselves at the rough end, and have run out of all their savings with no income flowing in. Families are struggling to arrange for daily ration. With the steady rise in the number of cases with each passing day, restoration of livelihoods seems to be unlikely. With the enforced closure of schools and learning coming to a halt, children from these families are also confined within the four walls of their homes.
We wish to collect resources for the distribution of ration and personal hygiene kits to approximately 800 families that will last them at least for 30 days.
