A Father's Fight Against Time

Dear Friends and Supporters,

The toughest fight of his life is being fought by my father Rajesh Kumar. We had been told he has cirrhosis of the liver in March 2024, which completely upended our world. In that time we’ve been on an emotional rollercoaster, from hospital visits, to urgent conversations over life saving solutions.

The crisis has brought our family even closer together, and we have always been close. Of all my family, it is my younger brother who has held this family together and stepped forward to donate a part of his liver to our dad — it is his selfless act that demonstrates the love and dedication our family is known to have. However, the surgical costs are too great. Not only we have saved 3 lakh rupees, I have applied for personal loan which is yet to be processed and we still need 25 lakh to provide my Dad that fighting chance that he deserves.

He’s been hospitalized twice in the past month because of his worsening condition. They warn us that time is running out. We can turn the tide on him – and give him the life saving transplant that he needs, tragically so early – with your help.
What if I thought about the difference my contribution could make—no not just for my father, but for my family. The thought of Dad being able to enjoy more family milestones, more cherished moments, being the great father and husband he has always been through this complicated life as a husband and a father, is a great thought.
