We are celebrating the 12th year of Kerala Queer Pride in 2023 with much revelry! This year, we have planned an extensive event spread out several weeks all over Kerala, to reaffirm our political commitment to justice and freedom. We will also gather from all over the world in Malappuram, Kerala for this year's Pride March, to celebrate our diversity and our solidarity!

- Semicolon Workshop for Suicide Prevention and Support will be held on September 9 in Kozhikkode, with the support of the Mariwala Health Initiative and in association with Vettaths, Kozhikode.
- Queer Poetry Night on September 10th, at Design Ashram, Gujarati Street, Kozhikode.
- Awareness Drives in colleges from September 4th to 8th; Sept 11 to 15th. This will include panel discussions and classes on the basics of gender and sexuality, and will be held in various university campuses and colleges. Our resource people will be experts from the fields of law, health, art, literature and more.
- Street Plays, from September 11 to 15, which will be directed and performed by queer artistes.
- Art Exhibition, on September 16 and 17, at the Lalit Kala Academy Art Gallery in Malappuram.
- Three panel discussions will take place on September 16th, in Malappuram, on the interlinkages between queerness and other contemporary issues.
- Open Mic on September 17th, which will be a space for community members to share their ideas, thoughts, and talents in a format of their choice.
- 12th Kerala Queer Pride March in Malappuram, on September 17th, followed by cultural programmes and a closing ceremony.
- Post-Pride events will include inviting students for paper presentations and seminars on queer topics, organising interactions with renowned queer activists and more.
For this, we have estimated a budget of INR 2,00,000/- with a breakdown as follows:
- Semicolon Workshop & Poetry Night - INR 30,000/-
- Street Plays & Theatre Workshop - INR 15,000/-
- Panel Discussions - INR 25,000/-
- Food and accommodation for volunteers and guests - INR 15,000/-
- Lights, sound, stage and hall booking - INR 58,000/-
- Pride March - INR 25,000/-
- Art exhibition - INR 15,000/-
- Post-Pride Events - INR 15,000/-
- Miscellaneous - INR 2000/-
