My name is Amit Kahar. I am from a tea garden in Nagrakata of Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal. I am a daily wage labour in the same tea garden and work at the manager banglow (house). My father also worked in the same house for more than 40 years as a daily wage labour, after my father retirement I took the work. My wife’s name is Sushanti Kahar and she is a beautiful housewife and occasionally works in the tea garden to support the family. I have a seven year old daughter called Prinsina Kahar. My father Gopal Kahar and mother Munni Kahar stay with me in company quarter and we were a happy family.
Our happiness was short lived when we found out that Prinsina was suffering with blood cancer. At the age 4 she joined local school and the family was happy to her learning. In 2019 from October month she was having some health issues. Initially my wife took her to a local health care centre. It did not help her and in November 2019, we visited a private doctor in Malbazar who confirmed that Prinsina was suffering with blood cancer.
We have visited Kolkata NRI Hospital and after two days treatment came back with hope. In December 2019, a closed relative asked me to get in touch with a local youth group called Prayatn. I have visited the group (Prayatn group), the group again took her to Jalpaiguri district hospital where Dr. B.S. Paul again confirmed the cancer.
With the help of the group I have been talking to various hospitals and different people and final have decided to take her to Mumbai CTC, PHO & BMT CENTER FOR MCGM (Hospital) and I have been in touch with the social worker.
For her treatment I have expected the initial expenditures will come around 300000 INR and other expenditures. I have used up all my savings and other resources that we have had till now.
I am seeking help from you all to help for my daughter. I request all my friends, colleagues and readers of this campaign to kindly help me out and share this campaign with your friends and family.
