On Wednesday 2nd Oct 2019, a family in Silver Palm Grove, Ravet has been torn apart by a tragic incident during the cycling fitness activity where the sole bread earning member of the family – Rahul Bhendkar (Aged 35) had a massive cardiac arrest and left this world all of sudden. He is survived by his wife (Pritam, 29 Yrs) and two daughters (4.5 yrs years and 2 yrs old ).
This tragic incident occurred when Rahul along with some of our society friends in their cycling group had gone for their routine cycling near Prati Shirdi Temple at Shirgoan which is about 12kms from our Silver Palm Grove society. While reaching there, he started developing a chest pain so he informed others that he would take rest and will join them on our way back. However, all our friends stopped right there with him to make him rest. Even though he felt better after 5 mins, they insisted to move him to hospital. Luckily we got couple of gentlemen with 2 and 4 wheelers who gave them lift and immediately rushed Rahul to nearest Pioneer hospital within 20 mins. After futile CPR attempts and other medical procedures, the doctors realized it was a case of accute cardiac arrest and informed us that Rahul's no more.
Hearing the news we all were totally devastated. This was definitely not the age to leave the world and family. His family is still recovering from this huge loss.
When we think about Rahul, his smiling face, ever helping nature and full of life persona comes to our mind. He has been a great father, husband, friend, colleague and a very active committee member at our society. Nothing can replace this unbearable loss.
Rahul had taken a home loan to buy a his dream house recently and hence has a huge financial liability. While our prayers are constantly with his family, we have created this fundraiser campaign to provide the monetary support for the bereaved family which can help in his kids education and family support during these difficult times. The last thing we want for his family is to worry about money and his kid's future.
