Prabhakaran (65Y), a retired small-scale businessman, is the only caretaker and protector of a family comprising his wife and 3 daughters. This year has struck his family so hard that he needs your support to survive and fulfil his duty as a father and husband.
His first daughter is married and is pregnant with her second child. Staying far from her family, she provides now and then to support her family. His second daughter is dependent on her father for living. His youngest daughter, my friend Deepa, is the only working member of the family and is providing the entire family for living. His wife (60Y), is a naive housewife and is herself suffering from high BP and sugar. The entire family had survived covid earlier this year. Soon after their recovery from Covid, Prabhakaran was diagnosed with kidney stones and was slowly recovering. Before this could pass, in August, he got a heart attack and was undergoing treatment for the same. In September he got unstable again and was admitted in ICU, at Vijaya hospital, Vadapalani.
The doctors have diagnosed two blocks in his heart and the only solution is to implant an artificial pace maker which would cost around 10 lakhs.
He is now shifted to the Madras Medical Mission hospital and is undergoing treatment and awaiting an implantation to be performed as soon as possible.
The family has put even the last penny on his treatment and for the family’s survival. His first daughter has also supported as much as she could for the treatment and other family expenses. My friend (Deepa) can arrange up to 5lakhs using her father’s medical insurance.
The family needs your help and support for the remaining 5lakhs.
Taking care of her father at the hospital, her mother at home, working, and running around for help from her family and friends, my friend has lost all her energy and is standing helpless.
