The world today is battling a Pandemic – COVID19, the same has brought the world to its
knees. With healthcare professionals struggling to find a cure, this pandemic’s toll is surging
by the minute. In such a scenario, India is tapping its resources to the hilt. It is trying to bail
itself out from the pandemic in the best possible way. Millions of already underprivileged
people are getting the rawest deal of all. Rendered homeless of their makeshift homes,
rendered jobless and ...rendered without sources of income, millions of beleaguered people
need help.
Ethically we share the responsibility of trying to lit a smile on the faces of children, desperate
parents and ailing old people suffering may be not because of COVID 19 but definitely
because of its mammoth economic implications. Labourers are just the tip of the iceberg.
How many have been deeply affected by Corona is not difficult but rather impossible to
envisage.
Let’s form a chain of humanism and save millions of daily wagers from an uncertain future.
We Need to Solicit Resources for a Humane Cause
Having said that, the question is what can be done? We can take a back seat and rush to the
provision stores to pump up our stack of provisions for the tough days or we could feed a
needy being. A small step can help save a lot of lives to tide over this Pandemic. If each of us
takes a small initiative we could raise a corpus to get the humane task of feeding vulnerable
people in these dark times. Remember these people do not have savings, their existence was a
daily affair – hand to mouth. Deprived of the chance to earn their livelihood they are facing
the brunt the most.
Government relief measures are working round the clock but even the government needs a
helping hand. Be a part of good governance measures. Helping in a modest way will go a
long way.
Who all needs reprieve?
● Daily wage earners

How are we going to help the needy?
Food is the basic of all necessities, Work For Equality, an NGO is striving to help the people
who are extremely underprivileged. Marginalized to the extent that they do not even get the
benefit of a ration card, these people are hapless and destitute. Work For Equality with your
help is seeking to help thousands while the Covid 19 uncertainty looms large. The basic
necessity is where we plan to begin from – providing grocery packets.
Each packet will contain essential food provisions (which will help impoverished families
living off the roads battle dying from hunger for at least a while), such as:
5 Kg of Rice
2 Kinds of Pulses – 1kg each,
Cooking Oil,
Sugar
Tea powder.
We aim at providing more than mere sustenance. To help them maintain basic hygiene we
will be providing body soap, soap for washing clothes and sanitiser to help prevent further
spread of the pandemic.
How will we implement the Initiative?
By joining hands with an NGO – Work for Equality, an organization dedicated to the cause
of implementing social justice. Awarded with several excellence awards for its outstanding
initiatives in the field of social justice, the NGO has been consistently working for upliftment
of abused and marginalized people. Working in the domain of social empowerment for the
needy for some time now, this institution is working at the ground level, to help the
vulnerable and economically challenged people survive the Covid 19 pandemic. It’s ideology
is reflected in its motto – No One Should Go Hungry. We hope to collaborate in this
endeavour and bring relief to thousands in distress.
