We are yet again conducting this donation campaign to help support poor families affected by COVID-19 pandemic and its restrictions.
As you know, the second COVID-19 wave has devastated India. Along with being a health emergency, repeated lockdowns and restrictions have affected the livelihoods of millions of Indians engaged in its unorganised sector.
Many of the people in the communities we serve have lost their jobs, suffered losses in income and many of them have taken loans to meet their daily expenses.
Last year we provided ration support to 4000 families multiple times (that translates to about 2 lakh meals) and this time we plan to do more. Several women-led houses and families which couldn't restart their work are in need of basic necessities like food, masks and medicines. We are involved in identifying the needy families and distributing ration kits to them.
Apart from this, we are also building a team to organise and transport oxygen cylinders specifically for critical and needy patients.
Our priority remains in supporting families through ration kits and empowering them to find employment opportunities.
We ask for your support in our mission.
We are tying up with a registered non-profit, Freedom For You, so that donors can get tax benefits under 80 G.
