During this second wave, people lost their jobs and were reluctantly compelled to go back to their home town. The one's who stayed back, had a hard time to earn the basic needs of life. So, we (Prakash/ Manas/ Sunny/ Binay) wanted to do something for them. Given the limitations in resources and otherwise, we realized we alone cannot serve many, but together we can.
That's when we started this initiative “FeedOne”. It is a citizen-run voluntary initiative, working to provide meals to health care workers, daily wage earners, orphanages, slums, and other vulnerable citizens of Bangalore. Run by a dedicated team of volunteers comprising of people from all walks of life, may it be professionals, students, businessman and housewives. It has been providing meals to thousands of people across Bangalore.
The idea is to create a channel between Bangalore’s apartments requesting citizens to cook 1 (or more) extra meals along with their daily lunch. This is delivered to the people in need through the help of logistic partners.
Packing material, pick-up, and delivery are all handled by the FeedOne team. All a donor needs to do is to pack the food in a pre-provided disposable material and place it at their main gate security.
Initialised with a handful of meals on 3rd May, In 1 month, 100+ apartments (through volunteers) have joined hands connecting across all areas in bangalore. Today, they are serving 3000+ meals daily and over 60,000+ meals have been served already in just 35 days.
Every meal from our generous donors has etched a story of warmth and affection and has bought smiles on the faces of our fellow countrymen during this pandemic.
This battle against hunger won’t be won in a day. FeedOne will continue to stand by those who are struggling for survival and the team is committed to it.
Though the meals shared by residents doesn't cost anything, but it does cost some amount to deliver this to the needy.

We need funds for
1) Procuring plates
2) Delivery of plates to residents, Pick and delivery of cooked meals from each apartment during lunch hours
3) Safety kit for our volunteers on ground
On an average, serving of each meal costs Rs.20.
We are looking forward to serving 2,00,000 meals and hence we need your support.
So we would need 50,000 * 20 = 10lakh.
