Planet Vadodara is a project by the Green Vadodara Foundation that aims to create mini urban forests as lungs to the city. By taking a methodical and disciplined business-like approach, we are ensuring a result oriented and measurable tree plantation drive. In association with city authorities and a team of professionals, Planet Vadodara is identifying ideal public spaces which are walled and have a steady water source. Thus ensuring that plantations are strictly monitored and maintained over 3 to 5 years, until the trees reach self sustenance.

The first project undertaken by Planet Vadodara is Khanpur, Sevasi- Water Treatment Plant. The plantation of over 2000 trees, some of which are fruit and flower bearing has been successful. Over 1000 trees growing from 10-20 feet within 3 years of plantation.The priority for Planet Vadodara with project Khanpur was to create a self-sufficient micro-ecosystem which will be a good habitat for birds, creatures and other fauna.

We are now undertaking a plantation of dense urban forest, spread over a 20,000 square feet plot allotted by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation. The plantation is to be done on the guidelines set by famed Japanese botanist- Miyawaki.
