Nikhil Raj is a final year B.Tech student from MIT engineering college, Pune.
He lost his father due to Covid-19 and chronic liver disease during the deadly second wave in April. He was the sole earning member of the family.
Nikhil lives with his mother who is a homemaker. They've used up all their savings to pay for his father's treatment, and still couldn’t save him.
Since they are unable to pay Nikhil's fees, even after repeated notices from MIT, the college has decided to expel him after extending the fees payment date to 15th September, 2021.
If we’re not able to put him back in college, his entire family will lose the opportunity to rise and stand back on their feet.
