Hello Everyone,
I'm here to raise funds for my school to help them build safe & hygienic toilets for school girls. The school has about 370 girls enrolled with them and is located in a small village called Venkatachalapuram, Tamil Nadu. I went to the same school for 6 years in 2012. I was set aback looking at the horrifying hygiene conditions for girls even in 2021. The school administration has been working hard to provide all facilities. But getting funds for being an aided school is hard. We are working towards building roofs for the open toilets (there were incidents of intrusion) and provide facilities to improve safety and hygiene conditions for girls in our schools. About 23% of girls drop out of school because of poor sanitation facilities. This was really heartbreaking for us because we could see that the dreams of girls were being crushed because of lacking a basic necessity. Sanitation and safety is a human right and must be available to all. Keeping this in mind we got emotionally attached to this project. With whatever money we receive with your support we are going to build roofs, lighting, and sanitary stations for girls in our school. We will keep you updated on the outcomes.
