Nanhi Kashtiyan is a registered body under Society Act, 1960 bearing Registration Number: S/RS/DW(SW)/1630/2019, working towards spreading of free education among slum children in the neighborhood of Dwarka since 2013.
Education is the backbone of a society and is known to change the course of history. It provides a unique experience to each child. Therefore, we felt that to make a meaningful change in society, one must target to educate the young and free their mind of biases. The demographics of India is young but a huge percentage of them remain under privileged. Nanhi Kashtiyan is an active NGO in Dwarka with an aim to ensure inclusivity of the underprivileged children with the progressing society.

 To inspire the society in the way that unprivileged children would get equal air like others to breathe and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives.

 We are a team of inspired individual who believe we can make a difference and that it is important to give back to our society with intentions to create support system. The group aims to engage these children for learning through interactive approach by placement of students with diverse characteristics into a shared educational setting and emphasizes the addition of specially designed activities that engages all of them collectively so that they enjoy the process rather than mugging up their curriculum. The programme is structured to maintain the interest levels of children so that they look forward to come back.

There are more than 350 children who belong to the age group of 5-14 who do not have access to free education. Most of their parents are Daily wage workers who do not have a regular source of income and therefore cannot afford the education of their child. It hence becomes crucial that the community's children receive good education, so that they can have a chance at a brighter, better future to keep chasing their dreams.

We have 3 active education centers in Dwarka. Our approach focuses on children’s basic education, development, intervention, treatment, care and a lot more. We not only aim at building a strong academic background but focus on identifying the core strengths of a child and then try to hone them. Nanhi Kashtiyan strives to understand their Special Educational Needs (SEN) which are imperative for such building blocks of our nation. The aim is to bring these under-privileged children to the forefront of society.

We turned to crowdfunding to increase our impact. If you think that a small contribution would not make any difference then you are mistaken there. Every single penny goes towards child’s growth and development. It’s not only the responsibility of government to make everyone educated. It is the responsibility of every citizen of India to help poor children in getting easy access to education. By providing these poor children with the gift of knowledge, we are giving our contribution towards India to help in development of our country.
