It all began in February 2019 when we came to know that my father would require a liver transplant due to Stage 3 liver cancer. We spent around 42 lakhs for the transplant, which happened in April 2019, post transplant recovery and treatment of other complications. He followed a good recovery path, however around August 2019, his health started deteriorating and he is again hospitalised in Nov 2019, requiring extensive treatment for orbital aspergillosis fungal infection. The estimated cost of treatment is around 25lakhs. We are unable to bear the expenses as we are not left with anything post his transplant.
