There is a small animal rescue run by some volunteers ahead of Bhondsi in Sohna Road, Gurgaon. At any given time, it hosts around 40 rescue dogs seeking homes. These are all dogs and pups found in difficult and unmanageable situations from across Delhi & NCR who were either motherless or abandoned. The dogs and pups are hosted here till homes are found for them.  However, most end up staying back permanently as currently Indian families prefer to buy pedigree dogs as pets instead of adopting deis or mixed breed or abandoned dogs.
We want to expand our space so that we can cater to many more animals. The monthly costs are as follows.
  • Rent @ Rs. 10,000 pm (USD 137 pm)
  • Salary expenses @ Rs. 60,000 pm (USD 820 pm)
  • Transport & vet visits, delivery of supplies, street dog feeding etc. @ Rs. 40,000 pm (USD 550 pm)
  • Dog food and other daily food requirements @ Rs. 30,000 pm (USD 410 pm)
  • Medical expenses @ Rs. 20,000 pm (USD 273 pm)
  • This comes to an approximate total of Rs. 1.6 lakhs per month (USD 2100 pm)
Additionally, we need about Rs. 90,000 (USD 1200) currently to repair our sheds and improve living situation for dogs.
We are completely dependent on generosity of kind people and so are seeking your support.
All donors can visit the centre and interact with the rescue dogs and resident staff to understand the status of care being given. Please help in keeping this centre afloat by donating as little as Rs. 500 / USD 10.
