Dr. Aruna Kumar Malik was the Assistant Professor of Political Science at Gujarat National Law University (GNLU). He was the bright light of the institution who was always committed, proactive, thoughtful and a true giver. He took a keen interest in allowing students to explore the world of international relations and public policy. Dr. Malik passed away at the young age of 40 on 28.04.2021 at the Civil Hospital in Gandhinagar due to complications related to coronavirus.
Dr. Malik comes from humble family background and was the sole earning member of a joint family. He is survived by his wife and two young sons aged 7 and 4. With his death, darkness is looming over the family. This is a devastating time and obviously, there is nothing that can alleviate the pain arising out of the tragic loss. However, a small gesture of kindness can go a long way in assisting his family with their everyday living expense so that they do not have to worry about it on top of the grief and shock which they are currently undergoing.

May the departed soul rest in peace. My deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family.
