The initiative Ball and Pen is started by scholars around the university who are struggling in their own careers and for self-dependence. This initiative is to up bring the underprivileged children and enable them with the important life skills that channelize their energy in sports and academics.
We conduct sessions with the children in the open playground near their residential area in an urban slum of Delhi. The activities are planned and designed in such a way that it is a collaboration of sports and curriculum. These activities focus on the learning of these children in their situated social and cultural contexts. Some of the children engaged with the initiative are dropouts. It is an attempt to provide them with quality life skill learning in a comfortable space and guide them for their future prospects.
We are motivated for the cause as we aspire to contribute our part as a responsible citizen in social welfare. The members of the initiative have struggled in their life for direction and guidance in their respective fields of education and sports. We started this initiative with a zeal to be able to help the deprived children. We believe that working for children is also for our own learning and growth.

The raised amount will be utilised as follows :
100 school bags * Rs 200 = Rs 20000
100 Uniforms (upper and lower for winters) * Rs 500 = Rs 50000
100 Pair of shoes * Rs 300 = Rs 30000
100 students stationery * Rs 500 = Rs 50000
Miscellaneous Expenses (Fees, equipment, resources needes for other activities) = Rs 50000
