Meenakshi Sundaram, a senior citizen at Madurai had noble thought of supporting Senior/Old Parents who are not taken care by their children and do not have a home.

He pledged his pension money after retirement and started the "Manidalayam" - Old Age Home at Madurai. This old age home supports old people free of cost and provides them with a place to stay and wholesome food.

Meenakshi Sundaram has about six months back started free Mid-Day meal for Old people in his district. He is single-handedly with support from some well-wishers now feeding free lunch for about 80 really old people every day.

This has been ongoing non-stop for the last 200+ days.

Meenakshi Sundaram is a simple man with a large heart to help people.
He has limited financial abilities though as he is not having any regular income.

Inspite of these difficulties he is able to manage to feed old people free lunch and is continuing his mission to serve the old people.

Myself, Dr. Kumar Rajamani, Manager at Robert Bosch, have been associated with Meenakshi Sundaram and his activities since last couple of years.

I wish that he is able to raise a small corpus using which they can get interest to run their old age home and free lunch scheme for old people at Madurai.

If one person with limited resources can do so much with a noble thought and large heart, I hope many more people can join hands to help him with this initiative.
