The Mahabubnagar Dist Cricket Association has 5.5 acres of own ground near Pillala marri.
Net practice Arena got damaged in May 2022 due to strong winds.
They are now setting up New Nets, Posts, Cement wickets, and Turf (2) wickets in the corner of MDCA ground, Mahabubnagar.
On date ground posts framing work, cement (2) wickets work is completed. It is proposed to put up Astroturf (2) & Nets work on these cement wickets.
The total expenditure is estimated at Rs. 4.87 lakhs. Breakup is as below
Turf Wickets – 2 Nos – Rs. 2.25 lakh
Bowling Machine (up to 150 kmph speed) – 1 No – Rs. 1.5 lakh
Grass Cutter – 1 Nos – Rs.0.5 lakh
Roller – 1 Nos – 1 Nos – Rs.0.62 lakh
Total – Rs. 4.87 lakh
This fundraiser is set up to honour Late Sri Laxmikanth Sir who continues to inspire us even to date. MBNR district association will name the Practice Arena after LK sir in his memory after receiving these funds. Let's support MBNR cricket to achieve greater heights.

LK Sir as he is fondly remembered was ahead of his times as a teacher and as a guide. Thousands of students from LSPS, and MBNR have benefitted immensely from his teachings in Geography & General Knowledge. LK Sir passed away in 2021.
