Azeez Azeem Peerzade (popularly known as Yezdaan), is a reporter, social activist and also a young covid warrior who worked relentlessly for Oxygen helpline during the pandemic since the first wave hit Bangalore. His contact number was published as helpline number by many NGOs. He with his team worked on ground delivering oxygen cylinders to homes, in addition to visiting homes personally to motivate people to get vaccinated and also to stay at home during lockdowns and festivals in the second wave of the dreadful pandemic. He also works for KMCC and Step Towards Humanity. He has been instrumental in getting about 2000 families enrolled into the Yeshaswini scheme and about 150 patients have benefitted with free of cost operations under various govt schemes with his assistance. He runs Wisdom Pearl Foundation wherein he has assisted about 500 families to obtain BPL ration cards.
This noble soul is right now in a financial crisis as his 72 yr old father (MB Peerzade) is in ICU of Specialist Hospital with multiple complications related to CKD, Diabetes, Hypertension and BPH. The total estimate of his treatment is approx. 7 lakhs, of which 2 lakhs has been paid with his personal finances. He requires an estimated 5 lakhs in 5 days time to continue his father’s treatment in ICU.
