Markendey Rai is a 28 year old yoga and fitness coach and has helped many people and students achieve their fitness goals. On the 4th of July 2019, Markendey suffered a brain stroke on the right side of the brain that led to paralysis in the right side of his body. He underwent surgery and just as he was beginning to recuperate, Markendey suffered another massive stroke on the left side of the brain on the 14th of July 2019. His condition was very critical and chances of survival as next to nil. The doctors were in total despair and explained that things could not have been any worse and only a miracle could save Markendey.

For the next 20 days, Markandey was in coma, his cardiac condition was fragile, his blood pressure was falling and he was on life support. It was only through the relentless efforts of the team of doctors and the prayers of a large number of friends, well wishers, family members and an ever growing family of supporters that Markenday is alive today.
